12:00 PM: Grambling State University has approved a three-year contract for football coach Doug Williams. Williams had sued the school after he was promised a contract when he took the job in March 2011, but was told he would have to negotiate a new one.

11:45 AM: Suspended Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Johnny Jolly has sent a letter to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell asking to be reinstated: "I know that the NFL doesn't need me. I need it way more than it needs me."
