The state Department of Natural Resources has released a new recreation map for the Capitol State Forest, updating the map released in 2002.
The revised map features new trail and forest road names, more precise elevation data, a recreation guide, tips for "playng it safe" in the forest and detailed maps of the Middle Waddell, Margaret McKenny and Mima Falls areas.
The map may be purchased at the state Department of Enterprise Services front office at 7580 New Market St. SW, Tumwater, and will also be available soon at local retail outlets. Single copies cost $9.
